The kayak launch at Mahr Park is undergoing important repairs to address safety concerns and enhance the scenic trail experience. Park officials announced on March 24th that the kayak launch is temporarily closed while crews repair erosion issues that caused instability in the launch area, as well as problems with storage and fencing.
Officials say those concerns are now being resolved. In addition to stabilizing the area, they’ve also opened up new views along the trail, making visits not only safer but even more scenic.
