The Webster County Sheriff’s Office has announced the addition of a new deputy, welcoming Kem Braden as the School Resource Officer at Dixon Elementary School.
According to officials with the Sheriff’s Office, Braden is a seasoned law enforcement professional, having retired as Chief of Police in Fayetteville, North Carolina, after 30 years of service. They say he brings extensive expertise in leadership, training, tactical operations, and school safety to his new role.
Authorities said Braden is a valuable addition to the Webster County Sheriff’s Office, bringing experience that will benefit both the School Resource Officer program and support patrol and training duties when school is not in session. Officials also noted that Braden is a well-respected law enforcement leader who will foster positive relationships with students, staff, and the youth of the community.
