Authorities have arrested a Nortonville man following an investigation into allegations involving an underage victim.
Madisonville Police report that the 29-year-old man engaged in unlawful sexual activity with a minor under the age of 16 in November 2025, and provided as well as used marijuana with the minor on multiple occasions.
Investigators say the man used electronic communications to persuade the minor to participate in sexual activity. Police indicate he admitted to the offenses and was taken into custody.
The man was charged with third-degree rape, procuring or promoting the use of a minor by electronic means, and second-degree unlawful transaction with a minor. He was lodged in the Hopkins County Jail.
