An investigation into child pornography in Texas has led to the arrest of a Hopkins County man and woman.
Madisonville Police say they were notified Tuesday by the FBI about a child sexual abuse material investigation, after an arrest in Hubbard, Texas, for possession of child pornography. Police say the FBI discovered that 36-year-old Brittany Monahan and 38-year-old Landon Talley, both of Dawson Springs, had been texting their suspect between March and April 2025. According to police, they received transcripts of those messages and the search warrants used to identify Monahan and Talley.
Local police say they reviewed the messages and determined that both Monahan and Talley were engaging in conversations about sexual fantasies involving children, and also received multiple child sexual abuse material images from the suspect in Texas.
On Thursday night, Madisonville Police say detectives located the couple at an apartment complex in Dawson Springs, and they were taken into custody. Later that evening, detectives, with the assistance of the Dawson Springs Police Department, executed a search warrant at the residence and on the couple’s pickup truck. Detectives report finding large amounts of suspected meth inside both the residence and the truck, along with drug paraphernalia such as new needles, small ziplock baggies, multiple sets of scales with suspected meth residue, and a baggie containing suspected Suboxone pills.
Talley and Monahan were charged with possessing material portraying a sexual performance by a minor under 12, trafficking meth, possession of a controlled substance, and drug paraphernalia. They were booked into the Hopkins County Jail.
