Hopkins County Dance Teams Shine at State Competition, Earning Multiple Championships

Hopkins County was well represented at the Kentucky Dance Coaches Organization State Competition this weekend, as local school dance teams delivered outstanding performances and earned several top awards.

School officials report that Hopkins County Central High Voltage earned Grand Champion honors for achieving the highest overall score among all high school teams. The team also claimed the State Championship title in Pom and secured second place in Hip Hop, both in the Large Varsity Division.

Madisonville North Hopkins Maroon Magic captured the State Championship in Pom for the Small Varsity Division and also earned third place in Small Varsity Hip Hop.

The Browning Springs Bear Force dance team won the State Championship in Game Day for the Medium Middle School Division, as well as second place in Hip Hop and third place in Pom in the Small Middle School Division.

The James Madison Stars dance team earned the State Championship in Hip Hop and took second place in Pom, both in the Small Middle School Division.
