Dawson Springs School Sets Graduation Date, Approves Audit

The Dawson Springs school board set this year’s graduation date and approved the 2024-2025 financial audit during its Monday meeting.

Superintendent Leonard Whalen announced graduation will be May 22nd, with the last day of school for students set for May 21st. However, he added that the last day of school and the closing day could change depending on the weather.

click to download audioThe board also heard from Taylor Mathis, audit manager at Duguid, Gentry and Associates, who reported a clean audit for 2024-2025 with no material weaknesses.

Chief Academic Officer Larry Cavanah shared that students will take the ACT again this year and are also required to take the SAT.
