A Webster County man has been arrested in connection with a reported sex offense at a Madisonville store last week.
Madisonville Police report that officers responded to Marshalls just before 1:45 p.m. on Thursday, February 19th, where the victim said she witnessed a man filming up her skirt while she was shopping with her two children. Police say the suspect left the store and the surrounding area before officers arrived.
Police launched an investigation and, with the help of other law enforcement agencies, local residents and businesses, and community outreach, detectives say they identified the suspect as 75-year-old Wayne Richardson of Sebree.
After getting a warrant on Monday, February 23rd, authorities say officers from the Madisonville Police Department, with assistance from Kentucky State Police, made contact with Richardson at his home. After conducting an interview, police say he was taken into custody without incident and charged with video voyeurism. Richardson was booked into the Hopkins County Jail.
