State police are investigating a fatal collision in Muhlenberg County that claimed the life of a Powderly woman last week.
In a Tuesday release, state police say the Muhlenberg County Sheriff’s Office contacted them around 7:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 11, to investigate a fatal collision near the 6500 block of KY Highway 81 in Sacramento.
According to police, a preliminary investigation indicates that a minivan driven by 48-year-old Brandi Eaves was traveling southbound on KY 81 when she collided with the rear of a dump trailer being hauled by a pickup truck.
Police say Eaves was pronounced dead at the scene by the Muhlenberg County Coroner.
