Drivers in McLean County need to be aware that a contractor for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet has begun a bridge replacement project on KY 1046.
According to state transportation officials, crews have already started the process of demolishing the existing bridge over Long Falls Creek.
Officials note KY 1046 is closed just south of KY 2438, and there is no marked detour in place.
They indicate approximately 250 vehicles use this roadway daily.
Demolition and construction of a new bridge is expected to be completed by mid-June of this year.
