An 80-year-old man has died after a single-vehicle wreck in Hopkins County on Friday.
The Hopkins County Sheriff’s Office reports that deputies were called to the 2200 block of Central City Road in Madisonville around 2:50 p.m. after a vehicle was found overturned in a ditch with a man trapped inside.
Upon arrival, authorities say deputies and members of the Anton Fire Department worked to cut the driver, Herbert Jones, out of the car.
Deputies say Jones was flown to Deaconess Midtown Hospital in Evansville, where he later died from his injuries.
The Hopkins County Sheriff’s Office is continuing to investigate the fatal crash.
