Owensboro Woman Arrested on Drug Charges After I-69 Webster County Crash

A wreck on Interstate 69 in Webster County over the weekend led to the arrest of an Owensboro woman for possessing drugs.

According to the Webster County Sheriff’s Office, the wreck happened near the 134-mile marker on I-69 around 6:30 p.m. Saturday.

During the investigation, authorities say they made contact with the passenger, 44-year-old Dusty Weir, who initially gave false identification. Once her true identity was confirmed, it was revealed that she had an outstanding warrant for her arrest out of Daviess County.

After Weir was taken into custody, deputies reportedly found her in possession of suspected fentanyl pills and drug paraphernalia.

Weir was lodged in the Webster County Jail, charged with giving an officer false identifying information, possession of a controlled substance – Fentanyl, possession of drug paraphernalia, and probation violation for a felony offense on the Daviess County Bench Warrant.
