Hopkins County Grand Jury Returns Multiple Drug Trafficking and Assault Indictments

The Hopkins County Grand Jury handed down multiple indictments for drug trafficking and assault from its January session.

A true bill was returned on Jalaysia Robinson of Madisonville on a single count of third-degree assault of a healthcare worker from October 19, 2025.

Robinson is accused of grabbing a healthcare worker at Baptist Health Deaconess in Madisonville by the neck and forcing her head into the drywall, before hitting her in the head while she was on the ground. Madisonville Police reported the healthworker showed officers her injuries and was treated in the emergency room at the hospital.

Jeffrey Robinette of Madisonville was indicted on charges of first-degree strangulation and fourth-degree assault on or about November 2 and November 3, 2025. The Madisonville Police Department investigated the incident

Donovan Adams of Nebo was indicted on charges of second-degree assault and fourth-degree assault from November 23, 2025. The Hopkins County Sheriff’s Office investigated the case.

The grand jury indicted Charles Taylor of Madisonville on charges of first-degree strangulation and fourth-degree assault, third or greater offense.

The charges are from an incident on November 17, 2025, and were investigated by the Madisonville Police Department.

A true bill was returned on Woo Byun of Northbrook, Illinois, on charges of trafficking marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia from September 15, 2025. The Madisonville Police Department investigated the case.

Crystol Cumens of Madisonville was indicted on charges of first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance (meth) and first-degree persistent felony offender.

The charges are from an incident on July 21, 2025, and the Hopkins County Sheriff’s Office investigated the incident.

Jordan Foster of Hope was indicted on charges of trafficking marijuana, first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance (fentanyl), careless driving, tampering with physical evidence, and other misdemeanor offenses.

The charges are from an incident on November 25, 2025, investigated by the Madisonville Police Department.
