The Webster County Water District has announced that the boil water advisory for its customers has been lifted as of Wednesday morning. However, officials announced that a boil water advisory is still in effect for customers of the City of Clay, the City of Dixon, the City of Slaughters, and the City of Providence.

The Webster County Water District issued the boil water advisory on Saturday, January 31, after a system-wide outage caused by extreme cold. On Saturday evening, officials reported that the water treatment plant was back online and water was being restored to the system. They also urged customers to use water sparingly, as high demand in restored areas meant some parts of the county remained without service.

On Sunday, February 1, officials reported that they were increasing water pressure, specifically, in the Vanderburg and Dixon zones. They said water service was being restored on Sebree Pratt Road, Highway 283, Poole, and extending to the Union County line toward Morganfield, as well as Wheatcroft, Blackford, the west side of Clay, and the west side of Providence near Riden Road.

On Monday, February 2, officials indicated that water had been restored to all parts of the system.
