Alexis Massey/Hopkins County Jail
A Dawson Springs woman faces multiple charges after a false late-night emergency call in Madisonville led police to discover drugs and paraphernalia.
According to Madisonville Police, officers responded to a residence on West Noel Avenue shortly before 1:00 a.m. Thursday, after receiving a text message that claimed a male was threatening to kill the caller, 29-year-old Alexis Massey of Dawson Springs, and her family.
Authorities said that as officers arrived, Central Dispatch received another text from Massey stating she was “tripping” and was wrong. Police found Massey outside on the porch, where she reportedly denied sending the emergency texts but showed officers her phone.
Officers stated Massey had been previously warned about misusing emergency services and appeared intoxicated, causing distress to others at the home, which resulted in her being trespassed from the property.
Before entering the Hopkins County Jail, officers said Massey admitted she had a pipe hidden in her pants and a baggie in her bra. Police reported she then produced a glass pipe with suspected meth residue, and a small baggie of suspected meth was recovered.
Massey was charged with false report, which generates an emergency response, possession of meth, public intoxication, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
