The Hopkins County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a deadly collision that happened Wednesday afternoon on Brown Road.
Deputies said a preliminary investigation revealed that a westbound vehicle driven by Blane Metcalf crossed the center lane into the eastbound lane near the 8900 block of Brown Road and crashed into a vehicle driven by Angela Bialek. Deputies reported that the impact caused both vehicles to leave the road.
Authorities said Metcalf was pronounced dead on the scene by the Hopkins County Coroner’s Office, and Bialek was transported by ambulance to the hospital for suspected injuries.
