Madisonville Sees $85 Million Construction Boom

The city’s strong growth and development were in the spotlight as the Madisonville City Council was presented with the latest Planning and Zoning Report at Monday night’s meeting.

Zoning Administrator Mandy Todd reported that more than a dozen permits were issued last month.

click to download audioAccording to Todd, construction costs for November topped $3.8 million, with permit fees for the month totaling just over $5,020.

For some encouraging numbers, Mayor Kevin Cotton asked Todd for the year-to-date construction costs, which she reported surpassed $85 million in the city.
