Hopkins County Fiscal Court Approves Funding, Awards Nonprofit $1,000

During Tuesday’s meeting, the Hopkins County Fiscal Court took action on funding several projects and awarded a special grant to a local nonprofit.

Last month, Judge Executive Jack Whitfield shared on social media that the Kentucky County Judge Executive Association selected Hopkins County to receive a $1,000 donation for a local nonprofit. He invited all Hopkins County 501c(3) nonprofits to submit a business card to his office for a chance to receive the funds.

At Tuesday’s meeting, Whitfield had County Attorney Lee Riddle draw a business card from a bucket, awarding the $1,000 to Pennyroyal Master Gardeners.

Magistrates also approved a road use agreement for the Weirs Creek Solar Project.
