A Madisonville man was arrested Monday afternoon after a child was found wandering the street without clothing.
Madisonville Police say officers responded to Race and Springlake Street shortly before 4:30 p.m. after receiving a report from a concerned citizen who found a young child, approximately 3 years old, alone and naked in the cold weather with temperatures near freezing.
Officers located the child’s home and stated that the father, 34-year-old Lorenzo Drone, was unaware his child had left the house and was outside in the cold.
Drone was taken into custody and charged with second-degree wanton endangerment and endangering the welfare of a minor. He was lodged in the Hopkins County Jail.
