Two women were killed in a multi-vehicle crash in Muhlenberg County on Friday.
State police say a preliminary investigation indicates that 68-year-old Morrine Cox of Greenville failed to stop at the intersection of U.S. 431 and Cleaton Road and entered the path of both a northbound vehicle driven by 78-year-old Billy Wilson of Dunmor and a southbound semi-truck and trailer driven by 36-year-old Robert Hosmer, of South Bend, Indiana, resulting in a collision.
According to police, Cox and her passenger, 64-year-old Virginia Grimes of Mansfield, Texas, were pronounced dead at the scene by the Muhlenberg County coroner.
Police report that Wilson and Hosmer were treated for their injuries.
State police are continuing to investigate the fatal crash.
