A Madisonville man was taken to the hospital after a two-vehicle wreck at McCoy Avenue and the city park Friday night.
Police say 35-year-old Monica Groves of Nebo was making a right turn out of the city park exit when the front bumper of her car struck the rear passenger door of a vehicle driven by 64-year-old Ricky Herndon, who was traveling eastbound on McCoy Avenue. Police say the impact forced Herndon’s car off the road into a ditch across from the Salvation Army.
According to police, Herndon was transported by Center Ambulance Service to Baptist Health Deaconess Madisonville for injuries to his back and chest.
