The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet announced that the KY 132 bridge near Clay reopened Thursday morning, with work completed two weeks ahead of the original three-week schedule.
According to officials, the bridge was closed after a recent inspection of the substructure discovered significant deterioration to a wooden timber piling that had developed since the bridge was last inspected in 2024. Officials said the damaged piling, along with 2-3 other wooden pilings, will be encased in concrete.
