A single-vehicle wreck in Muhlenberg County on Sunday claimed the life of a Warren County man and injured a Drakesboro woman.
Kentucky State Police Post 2 in Madisonville reported they were notified by Muhlenberg County Dispatch shortly before 11:00 Sunday morning about a fatal crash on US Highway 431 in Central City.
According to police, a preliminary investigation shows 31-year-old Benjamin Obannon, of Bowling Green, was driving north on US Highway 431 when his vehicle ran off the road and struck a culvert.
State Police said that a passenger in Obannon’s vehicle, 30-year-old Angelica McGehee, was treated at a nearby hospital, while Obannon was airlifted and later died from his injuries.
State police are continuing to investigate the fatal crash.
