Kentucky State Senator Robby Mills of Henderson announced on Thursday that he will seek re-election to the 4th Senate District seat.
In a release to the media, Senator Mills said he is a conservative leader and proud ally of President Donald J. Trump, and a proven fighter for working families, Kentucky’s coal industry, and conservative Kentucky values. He added that his mission isn’t finished.
Senator Mills said that “Kentucky needs fighters, not followers,” and he has “stood shoulder to shoulder with President Trump to defend coal jobs, lower taxes, and protect the values that make our communities strong.”
Over two terms in the State Senate, Mills said he has earned a reputation as a principled conservative and effective figher. Rising to become Caucus Chairman and the fourth-ranking member of the Senate leadership, Mills noted he has delivered real results for Western Kentucky:
• Secured over $500 million for the I-69 Ohio River Crossing, a generational infrastructure win
for the region.
• Delivered $50 million for the new Regional Police Academy in Madisonville, ensuring top-tier
law enforcement training.
• Repeatedly cut Kentucky’s income tax and championed responsible budgeting to keep the
state on solid fiscal ground.
• Defended coal and reliable energy, leading the charge to protect Kentucky’s power grid and
coal jobs from Biden’s radical energy agenda.
• Fought to make housing more affordable, strengthen small businesses, and keep government
off the backs of hardworking Kentuckians.
Mills, who owns a small business, continues to run The Nu-Look Family of Cleaners alongside his wife of 36 years, Vickie, and one of their three adult sons.
According to the release, Mills’ commitment to bringing real-world experience to Frankfort, rather than career politics, is why community leaders throughout the district have endorsed his reelection, including Madisonville Mayor Kevin Cotton, Webster County Judge Executive Steve Henry, and Union County Judge Executive Adam O’nan.
Senator Mills said that he is “proud to be a voice for Kentucky’s working people, for our farmers, miners and small-business owners.” He added that “we’re moving Kentucky in the right direction, starting right here in Western Kentucky.”
Mills, a Republican, has served as the State Senator for the 4th District—covering Hopkins, Webster, Union, and Henderson counties—since 2019. Previously, he served as a member of the Kentucky House of Representatives for the 11th District from 2017 to 2019.
