Rachel Foster mugshot/Hopkins County Jail
A Madisonville woman is facing multiple charges after a traffic stop over the weekend.
Madisonville Police report officers stopped a vehicle driven by 39-year-old Rachel Foster on West McLaughlin around 2:30 p.m. Saturday after spotting two children not properly secured in safety seats. During the stop, police said Foster acted suspiciously and admitted to having an expired license, no proof of insurance, and that the truck belonged to a friend.
After a K-9 unit alerted on the vehicle, police said they found a bottle of suboxone and a synthetic marijuana joint that Foster dropped. Foster reportedly failed field sobriety tests and was arrested for driving under the influence.
She was charged with booster seat violations, license to be in possession, operating a vehicle with an expired driver’s license, failure to maintain insurance, tampering with physical evidence, possession of synthetic drugs, operating a motor vehicle under the influence under aggravating circumstances, and first-degree wanton endangerment. Foster was booked into the Hopkins County Jail.
