Discovery Park of America, in Union City, Tennessee, has announced plans for a major new permanent exhibit exploring how energy powers the nation and how innovation is shaping its future.

The upcoming Energy Gallery will feature immersive and interactive displays that explore renewable and nonrenewable energy sources, the growing complexity of power grids, and how technologies like artificial intelligence, robotics, and electric vehicles are transforming energy use.

Discovery Park President and CEO Scott Williams said energy affects everyone and that the new exhibit will help visitors understand the issues and opportunities surrounding it. He added that the project aims to inspire young people to consider careers that contribute to solving global challenges.

The Energy Gallery will also include a section highlighting the Tennessee Valley Authority, showcasing its historical and ongoing role in power generation, flood control, and economic development across the region.

Williams said the museum is seeking partners and sponsors to help make the exhibit possible, noting that collaborations with businesses and organizations are key to promoting accurate, science-based information and supporting sustainability.

Discovery Park attracts more than 250,000 visitors each year, generating more than $38 million in annual economic impact for the region, according to a recent study.
