A new street was approved for inclusion in Madisonville during Monday’s city council meeting.
Madisonville City Council approved the inclusion of Hudson Park Drive that is located between Starbucks and Subway off of Nebo Road. City Clerk Jennifer Daves read the ordinance during Monday’s council meeting.

Council gave their nod to refinancing a sewer bond from 2012. Council members approved declaring Police K-9 Drax as surplus property which will allow him to be retired. And council approved declaring a police cruiser as surplus property.
In other business, council members approved the reappointment of Chuck Shockley to the Madisonville Board of Ethics, Mark Metcalfe, and Richard Hane to the Tree board.
And council members heard September reports from the Madisonville Police and Fire Departments.
