This Friday, Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Ohio Valley will visit all 71 McDonald’s locations in southern Indiana, southern Illinois, and western Kentucky for its annual “Thank You Day,” recognizing each restaurant’s vital role in supporting its mission year-round.
Officials said the tour features a special event at the Tell City McDonald’s, the top Round-Up location in the region, where they will celebrate the crew and community and announce the 2024 fundraising total of $41,723.01. The public is invited to the celebration Friday at 10:00 a.m. at the McDonald’s in Tell City, Indiana.
According to the CEO of Ronald McDonald’s House Charities of the Ohio Valley, Theresa Floyd-Maas, the dollars raised through Round-Up stay local — helping them operate two Ronald McDonald Houses, a Care Mobile, four Parent Care Rooms, and nine Happy Wheels Carts. She said what may seem like spare change truly adds up to a life-changing impact.
Through Round-Up, McDonald’s customers can round their order total to the nearest dollar, with every cent benefiting local Ronald McDonald House Charities programs. Officials note that these small donations add up, making Round-Up the largest annual funding source for Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Ohio Valley, thanks to the generosity of guests and employees.
