The Hopkins County Grand Jury has issued multiple indictments from its October session, including on assault and endangerment cases.
Roger Blair of Madisonville was indicted on two counts of first-degree wanton endangerment, tampering with physical evidence, resisting arrest, and second-degree disorderly conduct.
The charges stem from an August 17 incident when Madisonville Police responded to reports of gunfire at the Hidden Hills Apartment complex on Allison Avenue that originated from one of the apartments. Officers temporarily evacuated the area as a precautionary safety measure and said they found shell casings outside Blair’s apartment. Following a search of his apartment, police reported finding additional shell casings as well as multiple areas in the floor and ceiling damaged by gunfire, leading to Blair’s arrest.
Victor Carson of Alexandria and Damien Golike, with no address listed, were each indicted separately on charges of first-degree assault and first-degree persistent felony offender. The charges are from an August 17 incident investigated by the Hopkins County Detention Center.
Nicholas Floyd of Madisonville was indicted on charges of fourth-degree assault, first-degree strangulation, first-degree robbery, and theft by unlawful taking or more than $1,000 and less than $10,000.
On August 18, according to the indictment, Floyd allegedly injured another person, used force on the throat or neck, carried out a robbery with a deadly weapon or dangerous instrument, and took both a wallet and a vehicle.
The incident was investigated by the Madisonville Police Department.
Steven Matheny of Madisonville was indicted on charges of second-degree assault and possession of a legend drug after an altercation between neighbors over a dog on August 17 that was investigated by Madisonville Police.
In a second indictment, Matheny is facing a first-degree assault charge from September 4 in connection with a hit-and-run involving a pedestrian that was investigated by the Madisonville Police Department.
In addition, a separate indictment charges Amanda Matheny of Madisonville with complicity of first-degree assault from the incident on September 4.
