A Madisonville man was killed in a wreck on Nebo Road in Hopkins County Monday morning.
Major Charles Young with the Hopkins County Sheriff’s Office says deputies were sent to a one-vehicle collision at the intersection of Nebo Road and J.E. Ellis Road in Nebo shortly after 11:30 a.m.
He said evidence showed that Keith Daniels was driving north on Nebo Road when, for unknown reasons, his car left the road, hit an embankment, and rolled several times across J.E. Ellis Road before coming to a stop on top of a City of Nebo electrical box for its water pump.
Deputies reported that 40-year-old Keith Daniels was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene by Hopkins County Coroner Dennis Mayfield.
The Nebo and Manitou Fire Departments assisted the sheriff’s office at the scene.
