The Madisonville City Council moved closer to setting this year’s property tax rates during its meeting Tuesday night, as the discussion centered around whether to keep rates steady or adopt changes.
Mayor Kevin Cotton addressed the second reading of the ordinance about the ad valorem tax rates.
