
The Hopkins County Grand Jury issued multiple indictments from its August session, ranging from burglary and drug trafficking to arson and wanton endangerment offenses.
A true bill was returned on Clyde Bymaster, of Madisonville, on a charge of first-degree arson.
Bymaster is accused of starting a fire in June by throwing Molotov cocktails made from energy drink cans at a neighbor’s home on Hanson Street. Madisonville Police say they found more Molotov cocktails, more drink cans, a gasoline container, and several fuel spills nearby.
Jacob Larkins, of Earlington, was indicted on charges including resisting arrest, possession of a handgun by a convicted felon, third-degree terroristic threatening, two counts of fourth-degree assault, and three counts of second-degree wanton endangerment of a police officer.
The charges stem from an incident in June that was investigated by the Hopkins County Sheriff’s Office.
Tyler Adams, of Madisonville, was indicted on three counts of first-degree criminal mischief after a June incident that resulted in more than $1,000 in property damage. The case was investigated by the Hopkins County Department of Corrections.
Robert Grigsby, of Madisonville, was indicted on multiple charges, including first-degree trafficking in more than 2 grams of methamphetamine, first-degree persistent felony offender, and three counts of third-degree assault on a police officer.
Grigsby was arrested by Madisonville Police in June after officers said they found him naked and pushing two men while attempting to enter an apartment on Wiman Drive. During the arrest, police reported he resisted, grabbed both an officer’s firearm and taser, spat blood, and threatened to kill them. Officers say they also found his shorts, hypodermic needles, and a large bag of suspected meth nearby.
A true bill was issued on Daniel Garcia, of Madisonville, on several charges, including first-degree trafficking in more than 2 grams of methamphetamine and first-degree persistent felony offender.
Garcia was arrested following a traffic stop in June on Dulin Street, where police said he turned off his headlights and swerved into another lane before stopping in a driveway. During the investigation, officers reported finding several baggies with a crystal-like substance behind the driver’s seat.
The grand jury indicted Dameon Palmer, of Madisonville, on felony charges of first-degree trafficking in over 2 grams of methamphetamine and first-degree persistent felony offender. The indictment follows a June incident investigated by Madisonville Police.
