A Madisonville police officer has received statewide recognition for his dedication to traffic safety.
According to Madisonville Police, Officer Dustin Scott was honored with the Governor’s Occupant Protection Award in recognition of his outstanding efforts in promoting community safety through seat belt and child restraint enforcement and education.
They said the award recognizes law enforcement officers statewide who go above and beyond to promote traffic safety and save lives.
Local officials added that they are proud of Officer Scott’s dedication to protecting the people of Madisonville and Hopkins County.
