Hopkins Central FFA Returns From State Fair With Honors

Hopkins County Central’s FFA Chapter traveled to the Kentucky State Fair last week to compete in some tough Career Development Events—better known as CDEs—and they brought home some impressive results!

2nd place in Seed Identification went to Carly Royal.

3rd place in Junior Dairy Judging—congratulations to Tori Cunningham, Hadley Stapp, Sawyer Littlepage, and Duane Meade.

Another 3rd place in Meats Evaluation went to Izzy Long, Rebekah Jolly, Chloe McNeely, and Jenna Greer.

8th place in Senior Dairy Judging was earned by Emily Royal, Chloe Vaughn, Miley Laffoon, and Sarah Larkins.

8th place in Wildlife went to Addison Blanchard, Kylee Satterfield, Eli Demoss, and Layken Cummings.

And in 9th place for Nursery, congrats to Mady Kate Brown, Gracie Strader, Kalli Hancock, and Kaydence Poustka.

Hopkins County Central FFA also has several strong Honorable Mentions:

Ag Mechanics – Eli Demoss, Landan Bennett, Max Clarke, and Andrew Densmore.

Junior Livestock – Ayden Thurby, Josie Howard, Kinsley Sharber, and Adam Rideout.

Senior Livestock – Gracie Grimes, Rilee Mackey, Ty Barron, and Blaze Whitaker.

Floriculture – McKenna Hackney, Layken Cummings, Kylee Satterfield, and Addison Blanchard.

Welding – Reed Hulse.

These results prove once again that Hopkins County Central’s FFA Chapter is a force to be reckoned with! From the classroom to the state fair, our students are showing skill, determination, and excellence that makes our community proud.
