Officials from Hopkins County Schools have announced that two of their Career and Technology Center teachers were recognized last week at the Kentucky Association for Career and Technical Education Summer Program.

Officials said Jamie Scott and Willis Holmes were honored for their outstanding work in developing CTE Learns courses through MaxKnowledge.

According to officials, each educator submitted a course proposal, and after approval, began the multi-month journey of developing high-quality content for Career and Technology Education professionals across the country. After their work went through multiple rounds of review, it was released online to help shape the future of career and technical education. Officials said their courses are among 200-plus courses that can be viewed in the Career and Technical Education Learns portal at kyctelearn.org.

As a result of their dedication and innovation, officials said both teachers received a stipend in recognition of their contributions.

Officials with Hopkins County Schools thanked Scott and Holmes for representing the district and making a statewide impact through their commitment to Career and Technical Education.
