
Community members are encouraged to attend a free Mind Matters event on Thursday, August 7th, where a panel of distinguished experts will share valuable insights on aging, cognitive health, and dementia care, along with resources available for seniors in Hopkins County.
The event is free and open to the public and is being coordinated by the Friends Place Respite Program of Madisonville.
The panel of speakers will include:
– Randa Ramsey-Hurt, Community Educator with the Greater KY/ Southern Indiana Alzheimer’s Association.
– Dr. Bryce Gibson, Family Practice Physician at Baptist Health Deaconness of Madisonville
– David Nisbet, Co-founder and trainer for “Dementia Friendly Lexington” & Volunteer Coordinator for Best Friends Day Program in Lexington.
– Robbie Jones, MSN, APRN, AGACNP-BC, ANVP-BC, Stroke Coordinator at Baptist Health Deaconness of Madisonville.
The Mind Matters event is scheduled for Thursday, August 7th, at 4:30 p.m. in the Loman Trover Conference Room, situated on the 8th floor of the clinic tower at Baptist Health Deaconess Hospital, 200 Clinic Drive in Madisonville.
