Hopkins County Schools announced a special ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate the opening of the new Middle School Career Labs will be held at 4 p.m. Friday, August 1, at the James Madison Middle School.
The ceremony will be followed by an open house of the career classroom.
Communications and Community Engagement Specialist, Lori Harrison, says this event recognizes the launch of Hopkins County’s newly implemented Paxton Patterson Career Labs at each middle school, James Madison, Browning Springs, South Hopkins, and West Hopkins. She noted these innovative spaces will impact more than 1,500 students districtwide, providing early exposure to Career & Technical Education, allowing students to explore and discover their passion, and helping prepare them for their future.
She says this project would not have been possible without the support of the Kentucky Department of Education, their local sponsors, and educational leaders.
