Outdoor enthusiasts are invited to the 2nd Annual Hopkins County Outdoor Expo In Madisonville this Friday and Saturday, with this year’s event offering more than ever before.
Loman Scarbrough, founder and president of the Hopkins County Sportsmen and Sportswomen Club, shared with Your News Edge that vendors will begin setting up on Thursday, and gates to the expo will open at 3 p.m. on Friday and close at 8 p.m.. He said that a variety of activities are planned throughout the event.

click to download audioAt 3 p.m. Saturday, Scarbrough said that special guest Jimmy Sites, an inspirational outdoor speaker and writer, will deliver a presentation and offer his books for purchase and signing, with door prizes also up for grabs.
At 4:30 p.m., there will be a live auction, featuring an African safari hunting package..
click to download audioTo close out the evening, Keepin it Old Skool Band will perform from 5:30 p..m. to 6:30 p.m., with gates closing at 7 p.m. on Saturday.
The Expo will feature over 50 vendors representing nearly a dozen different states, 16 sponsors, and 24 local businesses.

Scarbrough said that the Expo is a great opportunity to raise funds to support youth educational programs, scholarships, and more.
click to download audioAdmission to the Hopkins County Outdoor Expo is free for those 16 and under, and $15 per day for ages 17 and over. The Expo will take place at the West Kentucky Archery Complex, located at 3100 Grapevine Road in Madisonville.
