Exciting news in local economic development was shared Friday morning, as small business owners were updated about new business growth and an upcoming groundbreaking in the community.
During the Small Business Roundtable at Madisonville City Hall, 4th District State Representative and Madisonville-Hopkins County Economic Development President Wade Williams emphasized the important role small businesses have in supporting their recruitment efforts.

Hofmann Packaging—a plastics packaging producer—plans to build a $43 million, 100,000 square-foot advanced manufacturing facility in Madisonville, a project expected to create 164 new jobs.
The scheduled speakers at Tuesday’s groundbreaking include:

The groundbreaking ceremony will take place at noon Tuesday at the U.S. 41A Industrial Site, located at 3113 Nebo Road in Madisonville.
