The McLean County Agriculture Fair has come a long way from its early days, thanks to the dedication of countless behind-the-scenes volunteers.
Steve Hatfield, a longtime McLean County Extension Office volunteer, recalls when the fair was held in a less-than-ideal place behind the school.

Just last month, in June, Hatfield was honored with an award recognizing him as an outstanding Extension volunteer, a testament to the vital role he and many others play in preserving the fair’s tradition year after year.
Their dedication ensures that the McLean County Ag Fair remains a cherished community event for generations to come.
