A Madisonville resident and Union County native has been selected as the new principal of Caldwell County Middle School.
Officials from Caldwell County Public Schools announced Wednesday that Pollyanne Kimmel has been named the new principal of the district’s middle school. With 25 years in education, officials said she brings a wealth of experience, including 17 years devoted to Caldwell County students at both primary and middle school levels. They noted that her career includes 16 years working in primary and elementary education and 9 years within middle school settings, equipping her with a comprehensive understanding of student growth and academic achievement.
A native of Sturgis, Kimmel holds a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from the University of Southern Indiana, with endorsements in Middle School Science and Social Studies. She has also earned two master’s degrees from Murray State University—one in Teacher Leadership and the other in School Administration.
After their children, Geurin and Lillian, graduated from Caldwell County High School, Kimmel and her husband, Tom, moved to Madisonville. Officials said the relocation brought them closer to Tom’s job while still allowing them to stay connected with the Caldwell County community.
Kimmel is set to begin her role as middle school principal on July 1.
