A traffic stop early Friday morning resulted in drug trafficking charges for a Madisonville man.
Madisonville Police say 40-year-old Daniel Garcia was pulled over on Dulin Street just before 1 a.m. after officers observed him turning off his headlights and swerving into another lane before stopping in a driveway.
During the stop, officers said a K-9 alerted officers to the presence of a controlled substance in the vehicle.
Police reportedly found several baggies containing a crystal-like substance behind the driver’s seat.
Garcia was taken into custody and charged with trafficking methamphetamine and transported to the Hopkins County Jail.
