The Madisonville City Council received an update at Monday’s meeting on the progress of Fire Station #2 and the fire department’s activities for May.
Fire Department Chief Jason Eli reported they are in the process of reviewing the initial plans for the new fire station.
click to download audioHe also presented the May report, highlighting that the department responded to more than 120 calls during the month.
click to download audioChief Eli reported a total of 1,389 training hours for the month, along with 37 pre-incident inspections, 15 fire prevention inspections, and 382 code enforcement cases.
As part of their community outreach, Chief Eli noted the department held eight programs, issued no smoke detectors, and had contacts with 245 adults and 196 children.
