Hopkinsville has a new face in City Hall.

Cory Alexander has joined the team as the city’s Administrative Budget Officer, bringing more than 25 years of experience in city finance and public accounting.

A graduate of Western Kentucky University with a degree in Finance and Accounting, Alexander has spent nearly two decades working in municipal finance and another nine years as a Certified Public Accountant.

Originally from Hopkins County, Alexander now lives in Nortonville with his wife, a local educator. They have two children—one in college at Murray State and another in middle school. When he’s not working, he enjoys running, golfing, and spending time outdoors.

He officially stepped into his new role this week and is already diving into the city’s budgeting and strategic planning efforts. Hopkinsville city officials say they’re excited to have him on board.
