Authorities say a man wanted on warrants out of Webster and Henderson counties was arrested in Providence Thursday on multiple charges, including running from police.

According to Providence Police, officers responded to a report of David “Zack” Robertson, a suspect with known warrants, at the Dollar General store on Westerfield Drive. When police arrived, Robertson reportedly ran but was apprehended after a short foot pursuit.

Police said the investigation revealed that during Robertson’s attempt to resist arrest, he dropped a bag containing suspected marijuana in the parking lot of the Dollar General.

After Robertson was arrested, police reported he was found in possession of items consistent with drug paraphernalia. Police also said that Robertson made several threats to physically assault the arresting officers while he was in custody, and after he was taken to the Webster County Detention Center.

Robertson was charged with fleeing or evading police on foot, resisting arrest, possession of marijuana, third-degree terroristic threatening, and other offenses.

He was also served a Webster County complaint warrant for failure of a non-owner to maintain required insurance, 2nd offense, driving on a DUI suspended license, 1st offense, no registration plates, and fleeing or evading police on foot. Authorities said the complaint warrant was issued in connection with an investigation into an incident on March 28 at Huck’s in Providence, where Robertson fled on foot from a deputy.
