
The community is invited to attend the City of Madisonville’s annual Memorial Day Celebration on Friday, May 23rd.
According to Public Relations Director Jennifer Daves, this solemn event will honor and remember the brave men and women who have served and sacrificed for our country. She said community leaders, veterans, and local organizations will gather to pay tribute through special remarks, patriotic music, and a traditional wreath-laying ceremony.
In a written statement, Mayor Kevin Cotton encouraged all residents to join them in honoring our heroes. He said this celebration is a vital tradition for the city as they reflect on the courage and dedication of those who gave everything for our freedom.
The Memorial Day Celebration will commence at 10:00 a.m. Friday, May 23, at the Veterans Memorial, located at 445 North Main Street in Madisonville. In the event of inclement weather, the ceremony will be moved indoors to the Hopkins County Government Center, located at 56 North Main Street in Madisonville.
