Officials with the City of Madisonville have announced the kickoff of its 2025 Movie Night season at Mahr Park.
Public Relations Director Jennifer Daves invites the community to a magical evening at 7:00 this Friday for a special outdoor screening of the beloved classic, “The Wizard of Oz.” She encourages everyone to bring friends, family, lawn chairs, and cozy blankets for a night filled with fun, nostalgia, and community spirit.
According to Daves, entry is free, with popcorn and drinks also provided at no cost, making it the perfect event for attendees of all ages to enjoy.
In a written statement, Madisonville Mayor Kevin Cotton said they are excited to welcome the community back to Mahr Park for another season of outdoor movies. He added, “What better way to begin than with ‘The Wizard of Oz,’ a timeless story that continues to bring joy to generation after generation.”
Officials recommend arriving early to secure a good spot and prepare to follow the yellow brick road for an unforgettable evening under the stars at Mahr Park.
