A Madisonville man is facing multiple charges following two consecutive collisions on Friday afternoon.

According to Madisonville Police, officers responded to a possible DUI in front of 238 Rose Creek Road, where a pickup truck had struck a mailbox and slid into the front yard. Police said Dispatch had also informed officers that the same truck had been involved in another collision with a vehicle at the intersection of North Main Street and West Noel Avenue before police arrived at the scene.

Police said the driver, 33-year-old Alex Holtz, was found standing next to his truck and taken into custody after an investigation. He was charged with leaving the scene of an accident – failure to render aid or assistance, and operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol. Holtz was lodged in the Hopkins County Jail.
