Last week, local firefighters rescued a group of middle school students trapped in an elevator.
The Madisonville Fire Department reported that four firefighters responded to Browning Springs Middle School at 357 West Arch Street shortly before 9:30 Friday morning for students stuck in an elevator.
Upon arrival, fire personnel communicated with the students and then turned off the elevator’s power before using a key to open the elevator door. Firefighters said they left the power off until a technician could address any issues.
There were no injuries reported.
