Hopkins County Family YMCA CEO Keith Cottoner has announced that contractors are making steady progress on the pool renovations.
Despite earlier delays in material delivery, he said the small pool’s frame is now complete, and the team is concentrating on the larger pool. He also noted the old walkway has been removed to make room for a new, improved walkway that is currently under construction. Additionally, he announced that new pool furniture has been ordered to enhance the overall experience.
Cottoner stated that they are coordinating all aspects of the project and finalizing dates to ensure everything comes together smoothly. He said their goal is to reopen the aquatic center by the end of the year, weather permitting.
He expressed gratitude for everyone’s continued patience and support as they strive to deliver an upgraded aquatics experience for the community. Cottoner added that they look forward to welcoming everyone back to the enhanced pool area.
