Hopkins County 2024 Election Results

In the 2024 General Election held on Tuesday, 59.54% of the total registered voters in Hopkins County County cast their ballots for U.S. president, state and local offices.

In Hopkins County, the unofficial total for the U.S. Presidential race shows the Republican ticket of Donald Trump and J.D. Vance received 75% (15,174) of the votes compared to Democratic candidate Kamala Harris and Tim Walz with 24% (4,880).

For the 1st District Congressional seat, Republican incumbent James Comer garnered 76% (15,193) votes in the county, compared to Democratic challenger Erin Marshall’s 24% (4,823).

For the 4th District State Representative seat Republican incumbent Wade Williams received 75% (15,146) of the votes, compared to Democratic challenger Lloyd Smith’s 25% (4,973).

The winner of the mayor’s race for the City of White Plains unexpired term is Bill Almon who garnered 53% (205) of the votes.

In the Madisonville City Council race in Ward 1, incumbent Misty Cavanaugh defeated Charles Kington and received 54% of the votes; Ward 2 will see a new face as Marvin Hightower garnered 65% of the votes compared to 35% received by Jimmy Young; Ward 3 Councilman Adam Townsend was unchallenged; Ward 4 incumbent Larry Noffsinger defeated challenger Timothy Trice with 58% of the votes; Ward 5’s Frank Stevenson was unchallenged; and Ward 6 will also see a new face as Glenda Wade defeated Devi Thorpe by receiving 54% of the votes.

Commonwealth’s Attorney for the 4th Judicial Circuit Kathy Senter, and Circuit Court Clerk Tanya Bowman were unopposed and will serve another term.
